FILM DEVELOPMENT CORP.–Viewers Can Pick Their FavouriteShorts People will be able to vote for their favourite short film fromamong eight that will be screened at the Nova Scotia FilmDevelopment Corporation-Empire Theatres Screening Night onWednesday, Nov. 26. The Viewers’ Choice Award has been created to give filmgoers anopportunity to say what they believe is the best locally producedshort film. Shorts being screened include Backjumping, The DogWalker, Diane in the Rotary, Back of the House, The Garden,Planely Dreaming, Old St. Nick and The Bylaw. The producer of the film that is selected by the most viewerswill win the chance to screen his or her next project at theOxford Theatre in Halifax. The film development corporation and Empire Theatres havepartnered to bring homegrown film productions to metro. Featurefilms, documentaries and short films are screened every threemonths. The Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation-Empire TheatresScreening Night begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at theOxford Theatre, Quinpool Road. Admission is free.
