Norwich University celebrates 200 years with Founder’s Day in Norwich, Vermont

first_imgNorwich University,Vermont Business Magazine Norwich University will mark its 200th anniversary with a day of special events at the site of its founding in Norwich, Vermont, on Saturday, September 28. The public is invited to join Norwich officials, faculty, staff, alumni, students and friends for a full day of activities on the Town Green in Norwich, Vermont.Dignitaries from Norwich University as well as Dartmouth College will take part in the ceremonies under a large tent.  There will be an ice cream social throughout the afternoon. Norwich’s Regimental Band, the nation’s oldest collegiate band, will perform and the Drill Team, known as the Shock Platoon will, provide a demonstration.The Norwich Historical Society will host “Citizens & Soldiers,” an exhibit created by Norwich’s Sullivan Museum & History Center.
