Back to the future for Volga-Dnepr

first_imgThe winner of the Group’s ‘Advanced Transport Aircraft of the XXI Century’ international contest will be announced at a special ceremony and the prototype of a ‘future airlifter’ will be unveiled. Vyacheslav Maksyuta, general director of the Russian Power Extreme Federation and Russia’s strongest man, will try to set a new strength record by pulling a 50-tonne AN-12 turboprop aircraft. One of Volga-Dnepr’s AN-124-100 freighters will also be on static display throughout the Forum and will welcome guests onboard each day to gain a close-up of the aircraft. Experts from Volga-Dnepr will also give a series of presentations during the International Aviation Congress (IAC) taking place from August 14 -15. Volga-Dnepr will share its insights into the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul business in Russia, as well as aviation logistics and prospects for the development of cargo transport aviation. www.volga-dnepr.comlast_img
