(Kyodo) Ryo Ishikawa got off to a strong start in a bid to win his first major title at the Japan Golf Tour Championship on Thursday.The 18-year-old Ishikawa shot a 1-under 70 to sit one stroke behind leader Katsumasa Miyamoto in a tie for second at Shishido Hills Country Club.center_img The 2009 money leader has won seven times on the JGTO Tour, but never in a major championship.Also one shot behind were Hiroyuki Fujita, Kiyoshi Miyazato and Michio Matsumura. last_img
